Ignore your Assigned Evaluator
Mar 22
After yesterday’s post, I spent a lot of time on Olivia Mitchell’s site, and found this gem about how to get the most out of Toastmasters.
While I felt quite defensive about her comment advising you to ignore your assigned evaluator, she is quite right. And she does say “most of the time.” Asking for less immediate feedback is something we could all do. Be open to the comments, and become a better speaker.

I have found myself following this idea. Asking my mentor for feedback and watching a videotape of my speeches have been the best evaluation techniques for me.
